Many fans of the of Rush will remember inline skate coach Si. This is what he has to say…
My name is Simon Coburn , I’m 39 years old and I’m a professional inline skater. I have been skating for 25+ years now and loved every second of it. I was UK amateur champion in 2001 , I’ve travelled to various places all around the world competing , completed skate martathons, 24 hour skates, tv work and various other things. I was the inline skate coach at the old Rush skatepark which was a massive highlight getting to see people progress their skating skills.
I work for a Gloucester based company called Ruroc which specialise in Ski and Motorcycle helmets. I also run a weekly group skate meet around Gloucestershire every Wednesday evening which sees a bunch of skaters come together to socialise and just cruise around different areas to get some exercise and have some fun.
